CodeRed COVID-19 Notification 3/27/2020

    3/27/20 7:00 PM

This is the Coventry Emergency Management Agency with an important update due to the COVID-19 outbreak:

The Town is asking residents to have patience during these difficult times and remind everyone of Governor Raimondo’s Executive Order regarding retailers and grocery stores limiting the the number of shoppers  allowed in the store  at a time and to monitor the 6’ social distancing rule.  There may be delays entering the stores because staff is required to count the number of customers entering and exiting the store and to enforce the limits.  Per the Governor - Public recreation, entertainment establishments and all close-contact businesses remain closed.

As a reminder, the Coventry Resource and Senior Center is closed to the public until further notice but their staff is available by phone.  Residents can call (401) 822-9175 if they are in need of assistance or to report a senior in need of food.  We will attempt to meet all urgent needs.  If it is after normal business hours, please call 211.  Please visit www.coventryri.org for the most up to date information.  Look for another scheduled CodeRed notification update on Tuesday at 7:00 PM.
