This is the Coventry Emergency Management Agency with an important update due to the COVID-19 outbreak:

This afternoon Governor Raimondo signed an Executive Order requiring all RI residents to stay home unless traveling to work, for medical treatment or obtaining necessities such as food, medicine, or gas.   You may still go outside for exercise and fresh air, but you must practice social distancing, avoid touching surfaces frequently touched by others, and practice good hand hygiene.

All Rhode Island employers must provide employees a means to telecommute or make other work from-home arrangements. This provision shall not apply to public health, public safety, or healthcare workers.

All gatherings of people have been reduced from 10 to 5 people.  This means there can be no more than five people in any public or private space at any one time.

Any traveler coming into RI for non-work purposes must self-quarantine for 14 days.  This quarantine restriction does not apply to public health, public safety, or healthcare workers

Effective Monday, March 30 all non-critical retail businesses shall cease in-person operations. These exclude food and beverage stores, pharmacies and medical supply stores.  For a complete list please refer to www.dbr.ri.gov.  If you are a Coventry business and have questions regarding your status, please call Town Hall at 401-822-9186.

This Order shall take effect immediately and remain in effect until April 13, 2020
